this is the workshop for you. Discover what programs
are available. Are there really grants out there for small
business? What loan funds are available? What help is
available to prepare your funding package?

Grant Writing Basics
This day and a half, workshop will help aspiring grant
writer’s approach grant writing in an organized, calm
manner. Discover the essential parts of every grant.
Develop your organization’s story, your needs, and how
to locate the funder to address those issues. A well
organized and heart-felt story may work for a
foundation but an impeccable budget and provable
deliverables will satisfy a government grant. Discover
the differences and similarities between foundations,
companies, federal, state, and specialty funding.
Additional available resources both free and at cost will
be explored. Determine what resources your
organization needs to meet its funding demands. Class
is limited to 30.

Business Plan Writing
Discover the components of a business plan as we explore the questions you need to address. We will cover the
Objective, Business Description, Marketing, and Organizational Plan in this class. We will also touch on the financial
plan. All attendees will receive a workbook to help guide them through the process of writing a business plan. Includes
workbook and materials and email/phone assistance for attendees for 30 days after the class.

Basic Photoshop Elements
Create a masterpiece with basic Photoshop Elements 9.
Discover techniques that can save a bad shot and make a
good picture great. Then turn it up with frames, filters,
text and collages. Basic Photoshop Elements 9 topics to
be covered include: intro to the interface; workspace
setup preferences; tools palette; intro to layers; photo
editing; and more. Class is limited to 12.
What is Photoshop Elements 9? A reasonably priced
software program that allows you to organize with ease,
create extraordinary photos, make personalized creations
(greeting cards, calendars, scrapbook pages, etc.) and share
your photos.

Using the Internet & Website Design
This two day course covers exploring the web, using the
internet for your business, developing content for your
website and creating a website using Homestead.com.
At the conclusion of the course, attendees will leave the
class with the basis of a strong website. Class is limited
to 12. You must be registered by August 3rd.

Want to get your business idea off to the right start?
Attend this training where you will discover the basics
of how to research and develop a business plan that will
serve as the blueprint for your business idea. You will
also explore how to prepare a budget and other financial
data required to determine the feasibility of your idea or
to package a loan when seeking funding sources.
